Arlanxeo butadiene rubbers for plastic modification are produced by a solution polymerization process which enables the production of very pure, virtually gel-free, very clean and almost colorless products. These rubbers are manufactured either in an anionic process or using Ziegler-Natta catalyst systems. The use of organometallic catalysts produces highly uniform polymers that are particularly suited for use in HIPS and for the m-ABS.

The rubber is protected by a stabiliser system which is in chemical compliance with the FDA regulation §177.2600 ""Rubber articles intended for repeated use"", the recommendation VI of the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment and the Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 and amendments until today. Buna® CB 55 GPT is used for the production of HIPS. It is used either alone or in blend with Buna® CB 565 T or with SB-Polymers to achieve polystyrene with improved surface gloss. By the addition of a special coupling agent the polymer has been branched during its polymerization yielding to a star shaped macro structure. The rubber is protected by a stabiliser system which is in chemical compliance with the FDA regulation §177.2600 ""Rubber articles intended for repeated use"", the recommendation VI of the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment and the Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 and amendments until today. Buna® CB 565 T is used for the production of ABS and HIPS.
